
The statement from Chelsea’s website reads: Marc Cucurella has joined Spanish club Real Madrid on a permanent transfer.
He moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2022 from Brighton & Hove Albion. While at Chelsea, he helped the team win the UEFA Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup last year.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the 27-year-old defender also played regularly for the Spanish national team and won the UEFA European Championships in 2024.
Chelsea FC thanked Marc for his hard work and the part he played in the club’s recent success.
They also wished him well as he starts a new stage in his career.
