Kieran Trippier cancelling his agreement with Wolves just days after joining club?

In a surprising turn of events, Kieran Trippier is reportedly thinking about ending his agreement with Championship club Wolves, only a few days after the club announced that he had signed a two-year deal.
Trippier left Newcastle United this summer after his contract ended. Wolves manager Rob Edwards called his signing a “real coup” this week, especially after the club was recently relegated to England’s second division.
“I’m so happy to bring him here, because when we met, it was really evident that he really wants to come to Wolves,” said Edwards. “He wants to help us get promoted again, so this is really something for us to achieve.”
Trippier also spoke about how happy he was to join the club, saying he was “absolutely delighted to be here” despite interest from Premier League teams.
The 35-year-old also talked about having a “good chat” with Edwards. “What struck me first was how passionate he was for helping the club move forward to get out of the Championship next season,” he added.
However, on Thursday morning, only days after those comments were made public, Wolves sacked Edwards after just seven months as manager. The decision has reportedly upset Trippier.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Trippier is now thinking about cancelling his agreement with the club because he feels he was ‘misled’ after Edwards was dismissed.
It has also been reported that Trippier’s deal with Wolves is set to begin on July 1.
