FIFA-WHO Be Active favors Thomas Partey and Black Stars players

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey played an important role in inspiring local children during the Black Stars’ community event at Bryant University in Rhode Island ahead of their FIFA World Cup opener on Wednesday.
As part of the FIFA-WHO Be Active campaign, Partey joined several teammates on the pitch to interact with children between the ages of 10 and 14, promoting the importance of exercise and healthy living through football.
The experienced midfielder took part in fun football drills and skills sessions, spending time with the young participants.
Partey encouraged the children to stay active, work hard, and enjoy sports as a way to improve both their physical and mental health.
The event took place while Ghana continued preparations for their Group L opener against Panama, giving the children a special chance to watch the Black Stars train and meet some of their football heroes.
After the activities, Partey signed autographs, posed for photos, and spoke with the children, creating memorable moments for the young football fans.
The FIFA-WHO Be Active campaign was first launched during the 2022 FIFA World Cup and aims to reduce physical inactivity among young people around the world.
The programme encourages children and teenagers to take part in at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day, using football to inspire healthier lifestyles.
For the children in Rhode Island, sharing the field with a player like Partey was a special experience as excitement continues to build ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
