The Blues had been linked with both players during the transfer window as Xabi Alonso prepares for his first season as Chelsea head coach.
Alonso will officially take charge on July 1 after being appointed last month following Liam Rosenior’s departure near the end of last season.
With the transfer window now open, Chelsea have been linked with several players, but the club has not completed any new signings so far.
There has been plenty of talk about the futures of Nwaneri and Bergvall, but a new report has provided an update.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are not planning to make a move for either player this summer, despite rumours linking them with the club.
Nwaneri spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, while Bergvall made 33 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions, including 23 in the Premier League.
For now, it appears that neither player will be joining Chelsea this summer, even though reports have suggested that Bergvall wants to leave Tottenham.
The Sweden international is still under contract with Spurs and is attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League and across Europe.
