Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz has set a record as the oldest coach to win a match at the World Cup.
The experienced Portuguese coach achieved this on Wednesday night when he led the Black Stars to a hard-fought win over Panama.
In the Group L match, Caleb Yirenkyi scored a late goal in injury time to give Ghana a 1-0 victory and all three points.
FIFA has now confirmed that Carlos Queiroz is the oldest coach ever to win a World Cup match.
The 73-year-old is also coaching at his fifth straight World Cup, more than any other coach at this tournament.
After the win over Panama, Queiroz and his Ghana team are now preparing for their next Group L game against England on June 23.
A draw in that match could be enough to help the Black Stars move into the Round of 32. Continue to More Sports.
