Official Black Stars lineup against Panama – Benjamin Asare benched

Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has announced his starting line-up for Ghana’s opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Panama.

The coach has made several changes to the team that many expected to start the game.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi starts in goal behind a back four made up of Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Abdul Mumin Adjetey and Fatawu Senaya.

In midfield, Lawrence Agyekum Owusu and highly-rated youngster Caleb Yirenkyi will play together as Ghana aim to control the game without Thomas Partey.

Captain Jordan Ayew will play in the attacking midfield role, while Kamaldeen Sulemana and Jerry Afriyie Nuamah will provide support from the wings.

Up front, Antoine Semenyo will lead the attack as the Black Stars look to begin their World Cup campaign with a victory. You can get live feed here when the match starts.
