Ghana might disturb England and Croatia and take some points – Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Former Sweden football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes the Black Stars can cause problems for England and Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament officially began on Thursday, June 11, 2026, and Ghana are expected to play their first match against Panama on June 17.
Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the World Cup after qualifying for the expanded tournament, which is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The West African side is in Group L with England, Croatia, and Panama. Ghana will first face Panama before taking on England and Croatia.
“I’m supporting Croatia in this tournament. We have Ghana, a side blessed with immense talent, so it will be interesting to see what they can bring to the competition. We also have Panama, but unfortunately this is a very tough group for them. I believe England and Croatia will battle for top spot, But Ghana might disturb England and Croatia and take some points.I don’t mean any disrespect to Panama, but this group will be a challenging one for them to pick up points in,” he said.
The Black Stars have already arrived in Providence, Rhode Island, as they begin the final part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team left Virginia on Thursday afternoon and arrived at T.F. Green International Airport at about 6:00 p.m., ending a successful week-long training camp in the Washington area.
The Black Stars will use Bryant University in Smithfield as their official base camp. They will train at the university’s facilities before travelling to Toronto on June 15, two days before their opening World Cup match against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field.
The team enters the tournament hoping to reach the World Cup knockout stage for the first time since the memorable 2010 tournament in South Africa.
Ghana has previously played at the World Cup in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022. Their best result came in 2010 when they reached the quarterfinals.
