Chelsea to make move for high rated EPL defender

Chelsea are considering a move for Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix during the summer transfer window, with a deal worth around £45 million being discussed.
The centre-back has impressed since joining the Premier League from VfL Wolfsburg in 2024 and is said to be open to leaving Palace.
Lacroix played an important role in Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup in the 2024-25 season and the UEFA Conference League this year. His strong tackling and good positioning in defence have earned praise from many people.
He is currently with France’s squad at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Reports say he is speaking with his agent about a possible move to Chelsea.
Chelsea are hoping to sign two new defenders this summer. With Marc Cucurella expected to join Real Madrid, the team is looking to strengthen its defence.
