PHOTOS: Black Stars arrive in Toronto ahead of Panama clash

The Black Stars have arrived in Toronto ahead of their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Panama at BMO Field on Wednesday.
The team arrived on Monday afternoon after completing their preparations in the United States. Ghana has been based in the United States since playing an international friendly against Wales earlier this month.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his technical team used the training camp to work on tactics and improve the players’ fitness levels. All 26 players took part in training sessions, and the squad has no injury concerns ahead of the Group L opener.
The Black Stars will hold their official training session at BMO Field on Tuesday evening as they make their final preparations for the match.
Ghana will face Panama at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 17, in the country’s fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
The match will be the first senior-level meeting between Ghana and Panama. The Black Stars are hoping to begin the tournament with a strong result before taking on England at Gillette Stadium in Boston on June 23.
